Akademi Radio 2007

It was such an interesting course to attend. Must say thanks to my sis, Erlin, who suggested me to attend the Akademi Radio course in March 2007.

It was really an eye-opening to learn from the professionals, i.e. AB Shaik, Isadhora and many others. AB Shaik did a marvellous job as the main trainer, sharing his experiences in hosting events. I particularly like a segment, where AB explained on how emcees used different tone level of voice when hosting vis-a-vis normal speaking.

The five-day night programme, Mon-Fri 7.30-10.30pm, saw us "hosting" our own Radio Channel on Day 4. We had to come out with our own scripts, radio format etc. Recording was done in either the Warna 942 or Ria 897 stations, assisted by the various deejays on duty.

Day 5 was the certification day and snippets of the recordings were played. AB, Hassan Salleh and Isadhora provided useful pointers on how we could improve on using our voice.

Watching Tun Fatimah @ Istana Budaya

Finally, managed to get the pics we took at Istana Budaya from Zulfadhli. It was long overdue, but as the saying goes, better late than never. Hehee.

Anyway, below are the pictures we (Zulfadhli, Sahrina and myself) when we visited Istana Budaya to watch the Tun Fatimah bangsawan in July 2004.

Some nice incidents to remember, as we were hanging around the Box Office at about 5pm (it was after raining so we were stranded at Istana Budaya since 2pm), we bumped into the casts of the play, namely Fasha Sandha and Jehan Miskin.

Both were very friendly people. Fasha was so excited when she got to know that we were from Singapore, and even more excited when she found out that we were theatre enthusiast. We started to chat but she had to report to backstage already, so she asked us to stay after the play. She wanted to hear our comments.

With Tun Fatimah herself, starring Fasha Sandha, after the show.

With Zul and Hisyam Tajuddin, who played Bendahara.

Sharing my opinions on her theatre debut and the play as a whole.

With Jehan Miskin as Tun Ali.

With Zul and Sharudin Thamby.
