Holiday!! Bintan..Bintan...Oh No!

It was already 27 Dec but I had two days to clear leave...so planned with Suhaimi to hang out at Bintan...on 28 and 29 Dec...

But, all the hotels there were fully booked...then we tried checking out for Sentosa...sounds promising..at least if we couldnt go to Bintan, we could still hang out, out of Singapore- literally - at Sentosa. Heard that there was a new chalet kind but it was fully booked as well. The only place available wa a S$300++ rate hotel room...hmm...nevermind....

Since we wanted to hang out, then Suhaimi suggested this place called "HangOut @ Mt. Emily". Soounds interesting....At about S$88 ++ per nite, we could stay at the hotel-cum-hostel situated at Upper Wilkie Road.

Met Suhaimi at Little India about 2.20pm on 28 Dec...and we walked until about 20 mins. According to Suhaimi, there were several entrances to the place; via Mt Emily Rd, Sophia Rd or Upper Wilkie Rd....but somehow, we salah jalan....so back-tracked...To our surprise, if we did not salah jalan, we could have met Mt Emily Rd in just 5 mins!

Along the ascending Mt Emily Rd, we walked up the road, climbed up the staircase to reach our destination. We checked in.

Cool place. Our room was right at the corner. We then checked out the facilities. The concept was good. The place has: Log Out (Internet terminals), Help Out (Service Desk), Veg Out (TV Room, Pool Playing Area, pantry with free flow of coffee and tea) , Pig Out (dining room; for meals), Wash Out (Laundry Room), Look Out (the top floor area where we could see some parts of Singapore skyline).

Really sounds interesting for a place to hang out...but just have to endure the flight of staircase (counted, there are 45 of them if come in from Sophia Rd)!!
